Your participation could help prevent skin irritation
At Coloplast we are continuously developing new solutions to make life easier for people living with a stoma. If you a struggling with leakage or experiencing skin irritation, such as itching, burning or pain, then you could be an ideal candidate to trial a new product Coloplast has in development.

During the clinical trial, you will be asked to use both the Coloplast ostomy device SenSura® Mio and a newly developed stoma product. You will be asked to participate in the clinical trial for 10 weeks during the period September 2021-February2022.

During this period, we will ask you to take part in 3 nurse visits, either at home, virtually or in a clinic setting, lasting 1.5 hours each.

Participation is voluntarily and you can withdraw your consent and end your participation at any given time. You will be reimbursed for your time when participating in the trial.

Please fill in the form below if you are interested in hearing more about this clinical trial being conducted by Coloplast and are interested in participating. We will then contact you, if the trial is relevant to your situation.

What happens during the trial?
The trial period can last up to 10 weeks. During this period, you will be using the Coloplast ostomy device, SenSura® Mio and one that has been newly developed. The trial instructions will inform you when to use which product.

At every baseplate change, you will be asked to take pictures of the area around the stoma and answer a few questions about your experience. To make this simple and easy to do, we have developed an app that you will be using during the trial period.

The trial period includes 3-4 visits with a health care professional. During these visits, the healthcare professional will ask if you have had experienced any issues. Each visit lasts approx. 30-60 minutes and can be conducted face-to-face or remotely.

After the trial, you will return all study supplies and go back to the device you were originally using.

Participants in our clinical trials receive a standard fee for their participation. Travel expenses in relation to clinic visits will also be reimbursed.
What if I want to exit the trial during the trial period?
Should you regret volunteering - or find that you are unable to participate in a trial you have been recruited for - you can opt out at any time. You do not have to provide any explanation. Just let us know, and we will simply remove you from the list of participants and delete your information.
